GET INVOLVED

Membership with the Rotary Club of Melbourne Park offers opportunities for volunteering, networking, skill development and friendship - get involved!

VOLUNTEERING
Our club is involved in a variety of community projects, fundraising initiatives and volunteering events:
  • HANDS-ON VOLUNTEERING- Get your ‘hands dirty’ and help improve our community, such as through our working bees for local schools or non-for-profit organisations in need.
  • LOCAL & INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY PROJECTS- Our club is a platform for transforming the ideas of passionate members into projects that improve the lives of others, whether in be in the local or international community.
  • SUPPORTING TODAY’S LEADERS- We have several projects that encourage personal and leadership development in students, including sponsoring participation in life changing programs such as the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA).
  • FUNDRAISING- Get involved in our fundraising initiatives that have enabled donations to be made to various community groups and charities including The Alannah and Madeline Foundation and HomeGround Services.

EXPANDING YOUR HORIZONS
We offer our members many opportunities for personal and professional development.
  • LEARN FROM INTERESTING SPEAKERS- Our speaker events provide members with the opportunity to learn about a variety of different topics, where you can take inspiration from speakers with remarkable personal stories. Or pick up on practical knowledge such as ‘What is a self-managed super fund?’ and ‘How to manage stress in the workplace’.
  • DEVELOP YOUR SKILLS AND LEARN NEW ONES- By getting involved with club projects and leadership positions, you can develop and practice multiple skills including your leadership, project management, organisation, people-management and communication and public speaking skills.
  • EXPAND YOUR NETWORKS- Through our club you will be able meet a diverse range of people and have the opportunity to network beyond you work and social circles, and have access to our professional mentoring program.

FRIENDSHIP AND FUN
Our club is a great place to meet new people, and to form new friendships.  We pride ourselves on having a fun, vibrant atmosphere whether it is at club meetings, volunteering events or social nights.  We have regular social activities, and there is always something to get involved in!
